It’s time to start thinking about what to wear to your next session!

One of the most frequent questions I get asked during booking is “What should we wear?”

If you are looking for some inspiration, I have at the bottom of the page, coordinated colors, patterns, and textures to give you a great start to planning your outfits!

I completely get figuring out what to wear for family photos can be a challenge; you could hate shopping, are unsure of how to coordinate the family’s outfits, or just want a second opinion on the clothing you’ve chosen.

Styling is so important; it can make or break how you feel about your pictures.

You are investing in these sessions; the photographs could be hanging on the walls of your home for a long time. You want to look your best!

I want you to wear what you want, but I also want you to look amazing in your family photos.

Luckily, I love helping my clients in any way possible to make sessions a breeze, plus I love shopping! From window shopping to making these style boards!

The stylebooks I’ve put together, I believe, are perfect for anyone with any style and capture great on camera!

You absolutely do not have to follow any type of style or fashion, but if you’re completely lost, it’s a perfect place to look!

From Engagement sessions to Family and Maternity sessions with each board, you can copy the outfit completely or use it as inspiration for the types of clothes you’d like to wear and the perfect colors to compliment.

I will be adding more for each season.

A few tips for putting together the best outfits-

Start with your outfit first or a clothing item that inspires you-

Then you can coordinate everyone’s outfits with yours! It could be your favorite blue jeans. What goes better with blue jeans than whites? Want to add some color instead. Check out the Denim link to find a perfect color combo!

Coordinate colors and patterns (matching but not matching)- Neutrals & Warm Tones are my personal favorite to photography!

Find a color pallet and use that to pick items for your outfits.

That one dress you feel great in and has the most beautiful nude colors? Perfect for everyone’s coordinating color pallet! Adding lace or a complimentary pattern can help bring more colors to your “matching” outfits.

Watch for too bold of plaids and highlighter colors, they don't pick up well on camera!

Don't be afraid of accessories -

Pop on that cute sun hat! Wear all your bracelets & rings! The littlest details can make your photos pop!

All the items shown in the stylebooks were found on varies clothing stores online and collage together by me.
